Season’s Memories
By Regina Puckett
Flowers buds are peeking through
Trying to get a better view
Of crystal, clear cloudless days
And extraordinarily exquisite rays
The birds and bees will commence to stir
And soon those dull winter days will become a distant blur
We’ll stuff those frigid thoughts into the utmost corner of our mind
Waiting until they gradually shuffle and in the end refine
They’ll suddenly become lovely jewels of our valued past
And in the midst of summer we pray they’ll be enough to last
Until we begin the season’s yearly cycle yet again
Where then thoughts of summer will become our dearest friend
