Regina Puckett
There are various shades of utter gloom
From the murkiest gray of the sealed tomb
To the blackness of God’s judgment day
When countless men will want to pray
But there’s nothing quite so lacking or void
Than a soul which has been wholly destroyed
Or a heart which has ripped and bled out
Until there’s only a shell filled with doubt
