Regina Puckett
A thin sheet of ice covered the entire countryside
Much like the tears of a terrified and frozen bride
Ice sickles adored all of the branches and trees
Its delicate loveliness brought the world to its knees
Each puff of breath lingered in mid-air and hung
Waiting for the song of spring to once again be sung
